The Workshop Box: Calm, COOL, Capable
Parenting is hard enough without Covid-19. There has been rapid changes in education, socializing, and the family dynamic. We understand and we want to help.
Gals On The Go Project along with Gals Institute are committed to helping families be united and emotionally strong. Anxiety symptoms in kids are on a rise and are more prevalent with the unknown future of school and the way we socialize day to day. We have made adjustments to our popular in-school workshop to help kids and families manage stress and anxiety.
Boys & Girls Entering 4th -7th grades)
This FREE workshop is available by registering online. ($20.00 shipping and handling)

FREE 6 week workshop, delivered to your door. This fun self-guided virtual workshop in a box will help kids and their families learn healthy coping skills to assist during this time of change and uncertainty. This program offers the flexibility of time, incorporates activities for parent interaction, a workshop mentor that will check in and be available to offer support and resources and best of all the ability to share activities with family members. Special guest videos from Gals Institute facilitators and FUN guest hosts who will share tips and tools on how to remain calm and cool.
Once registered your middle school student (entering grades (4-7) will receive a confirmation and start date. The week prior to the first week of start your child will receive a box with our logo on it. Inside the Gals On The Go Project Workshop Box there will be everything you need for all the activities. Consult handbook before opening any packages inside.
The Workshop Box Includes:
A handbook that will outline every week's message of resiliency, activities and crafts.
Special visits and messages from amazing guests via videos.
Parent/child activities continuing to promote our weekly message.
Parent tips and tools to help promote mindful calm experiences at home.
A weekly check in with a Gals On The Go Project mentor.
What Parents & Participants need:
- Access to a device to be able to watch instructional videos & messages.
- Commitment of 6 weeks/ 1 - 2 hours a week.
- Ability & Access to facetime with your mentor (optional)
- Agreement to allow GOTGP to use survey results and pictures from workshop activities to be shared with donors and workshop group participants.
This workshop is possible with the support of Oconomowoc Area Foundation, Oconomowoc Public Education Foundation, Gals Institute LLC, Dr. Barb Kolp-Jurss, Lake County Pediatrics, Rogers Behavioral Health & Tim O'Brien Homes.
